Begin with the three fundamentals
The chart is easiest to read when you separate three questions: what is moving, how it expresses itself, and where it shows up in life.
The twelve houses
The houses tell you where the action lives in the chart: home, work, relationships, healing, visibility, and the quieter rooms in between.
Look for: which houses hold planets, and which houses keep getting repeated attention.
The zodiac signs
The signs describe tone, style, and expression. They color the raw energy of a planet and shape the way it shows itself.
Look for: the sign of your Sun, Moon, and rising sign, then notice the patterns that repeat.
The planets
The planets describe motion, motive, and pressure. They help you see what is active in the chart right now and what keeps shaping the long arc of a life.
Look for: the planet itself, the sign it is in, and the house it occupies. Read them together.
